Abstract :
A multisystem microstrip patch antenna is proposed and analyzed by the Finite Difference Time Domain Method (FDTD). It is developed to be used in multi-standard mobile communication systems (GSM, DCS, PCS and UMTS). The radiating patch of the proposed antenna is designed jointly with the shape of ground plane. The proposed antenna with 36 mm in height and 50 mm in width was fabricated and tested. Results of return loss, standing wave ratio (SWR) and radiation patterns are presented and discussed.
