Abstract :
Today, Surveillance camera system is mostly using the mono-directional cameras. However, mono-directional camera has blind spots, and the expansion of the monitoring area causes some problems such that the system would become more complex. Thus, we propose omni-directional surveillance system using by PAL lens in order to get a 360 degree image. In the propose methods, omini-directional camera units consists of Gigabit Network interfaces, and each video image are able to acquire through the network. Also, the proposal method has the functions of moving object detection, recognition of image patterns, object tracking, and so on. The image recognition is conducted by various methods such as Color Histogram, Optical Flow, and so on. Moreover, the object tracking is conducted by several omni-directional cameras, and the computational calculation is held for finding the object. Finally, in this paper, the evaluation is held for the effectiveness of the proposed method and implemented system.
