Abstract :
The paper describes the functioning of the IEC flickermeter´s signal chain for the input voltage containing fluctuations induced by two independent receivers. A set of equations describing the IEC flickermeter´s signals has been proposed in order to estimate the Pst indicator´s value dependency on amplitudes, frequencies, and initial phases of the amplitude modulating signals. To simplify the equations, it has been assumed that the influence of the receivers results in voltage fluctuations corresponding to modulation with sinusoidal signals. The study results have been presented on charts showing the Pst indicator´s dependency on the modulating signals´ frequency. In order to verify the proposed set of equations, a comparison of the Pst indicator values acquired with this set of equations and the results acquired with numerical simulations of the IEC flickermeter´s signal chain has been depicted.
