Quality Measurement of Image Segmentation Evaluation Methods

Segmentation of images plays a significant role in image processing. For evaluating the quality of segmentation, several methods based on different approaches have been proposed. The essential question, therefore, arises how the quality of these evaluation methods can be compared. In this paper, we evaluate the quality of some published methods using a new methodology. We also present the results of such a comparison.
