Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to determine the electrostatic charge accumulation control possibilities for electrical materials used in electronic and telecommunication industry. Tests were realized using advanced simulation technique and specific equipment in concordance with standard requirements. Purpose was to investigate, determine and analyze surface resistivity of various samples using 6524 High-Resistance Measurement software based on alternating polarity method. Since the electrostatic charge accumulation is directly influenced by relative humidity (RH), simulations were compiled for an RH range between 30% and 70%. Measurements show that some materials are suitable to control electrostatic charge accumulation through triboelectric charging while others acts like semiconductors.
