Abstract
This paper presents an approach for the specifications of the configurable distributed systems, which is based on the computational model with information transport ports. Features of the approach are demonstrated with the help of a reference example. Fragments of the system architects´ language are presented which illustrate the flexibility of the approach and its wide areas of application. Examples of specifications for ATM and distributed multimedia systems are shown.
