EMA-an Intelligent Employment Agent

The author presents an Intelligent Employment Agent, EMA, available through the Internet. EMA provides national employment information about career opportunities, fresh graduates, scholarships, employment boards, unemployed workers, and performs matching between available applicants and available jobs. EMA sends mail to users whenever an interesting employment information appears, e.g. whenever a specific profile is available or needed, or whenever an interesting Web site changes. In the first year, the system was visited around 100000 times. It presented 100000 vacant job positions in Slovenia, and was one of the most often visited Internet systems in the country.
