Abstract :
This paper proposes a design strategy taking advantage of the fact that the existing standard IEC 1000-3-2, its proposed amendment introducing the Class E, and the draft of the standard IEC 1000-3-4 allow a substantial harmonics contents of the line-current spectrum. An implementation using only general purpose components is presented. The goal is obtaining the lowest possible cost. Experimental results are also reported.
