Abstract :
Summary form only given. The paper focuses on a numerical study of the impact of turbulent effects in the discharge and near-outlet regions of the worldwide unique type of thermal plasma generator with combined stabilization of electric arc by axial argon flow and tangential water vortex (hybrid-stabilized arc). This arc has been used at present for plasma spraying and for production of syngas (CO + H2) from municipal waste or biomass.
