Abstract :
A low power SiPM readout ASIC for Time of Flight applications, integrating signal conditioning and discrimination circuitry and high-performance TDCs for each of 64 independent channels, targeting 25 ps r.m.s r.m.s. intrinsic resolution and featuring fully digital output, has been developed in the framework of the EndoTOFPET-US collaboration. In this work, we present preliminary results of electrical characterization of this ASIC, along with preliminary results with SiPM arrays coupled to LYSO crystal matrices. The intrinsic TDC jitter has been measured as 21 ps r.m.s. When reading out a SiPM excited by a pulsed laser, a resolution of 110 ps r.m.s has been measured for single photon and 32 ps r.m.s for a large number of photons.
