Abstract :
Due to the rapid development of communication networks and content services, the Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) plays an important role in the GPRS core network. However, as the number of users´ population and requirement both keep increasing, the conventional architecture cannot provide a satisfied performance. Therefore, in this paper firstly we present a novel solution to use SGSN pool based on path diversity. Then the related theoretical analysis is given to prove that the method is effective in reducing network load and improving system reliability. Finally, we show the experiment results by the implementation of the systems.
