  • Abstract
This paper presents the design, development and evaluation processes of Musikinésia, an educational digital game idealized to support Music students to identify music notes and keys in a music keyboard. In this context, the game aims in developing the ability of identifying music notes on the instrument based on the reading of a music sheet and other basic concepts, such as music reading in G clef, octaves, accidentals and tempo. Furthermore, it introduces a discussion about the effective contribution of game-based learning for teaching specific music content and about the issues that should be addressed in the development process of educational games which can allow significant playful and educational experiences for learners.
