Abstract :
A new design for a low-power delivery system using two Buck-Boost DC-DC converters is proposed in this paper. Each converter is composed of several sub-converters, respectively connected in Input Parallel Output Series (IPOS) and Input Series Output Parallel (ISOP) for the input and output converters. The control objectives are output voltage regulation and input voltage balancing of the ISOP converter. Feed Forward of input voltage and output current is also implemented. Achieving input voltage balancing and Feed Forward requires communication between the sub-converters through a ring architecture, which induces delays.
