Abstract :
In this paper the dual-tree complex wavelet transformation is used to suppress ripple structures in SAS images. The difficulty of finding suitable thresholds for applying the suppression is considered and a way to derive appropriate values is proposed. Also a way to estimate the orientation of ripple fields using the DT CWT is suggested. Based on the thresholds found the calculation is carried out and the results are discussed.
