Abstract
Dependability is an important issue of assessing a software systems. With more wide application of Internet in life-critical domain, the dependability of software system arranged on Internet becomes big challenges because of the undependability of today´s Internet. Accurately assessing the dependability of a Internetware system has to be one of important task. In this paper, we propose a mathematics model for computing the dependability of an Internetware system. Our model uses an algebraic model to present logical architecture of Internetware and a stochastic model to assess the dependability of Internetware, including the assessment of availability, safety, reliability, confidentiality, integrity and maintainability of Internetware, all those properties constitute the dependability of Internetware system. In order to verify the correctness of our dependability model we also give essential theory proof and case study on assessment method individually.
