Abstract
Fasler computation requires higher speed and higher data rate for digital circuits. To achieve this requirement photonics digital circuits are one of the solutions. Here we represent the design of AND. OR and NOT optical logic gate with Polyvinyl-Chloride Multiwalled Carbon Nano Tube (PVC-MWCNT) waveguide. PVC-MWCNT material was chosen for better constant optical response over 800nm to 1000nm wavelength. It was also beneficial to achieve smaller sized waveguide design. The logic gates are designed in 10μm × 4.5μm size. All the optical operation and truth tables were followed as digital circuits for given wavelength span. Here the logic gates are investigated with Finite Differentiation Time Domain (FDTD) method. Comparisons with available logic gate designs are also reported in this research. All the logic gates are compatible for the further expansion for logic circuits. One of the Boolean functions is formatted by proposed logic gates and analyzed the research work.
