  • Abstract
    Internet of Things (IoT) has the ability to offer great promise in the field of health care. It can be used extensively to improve access to care, quality of care and moreover provide awareness, support and assistance to patients in remote locations. IoT can also provide assistance to patients with chronic diseases. In this paper, a cloud based user centric approach is proposed to make users aware of the health risk due to flickering of artificial light around them and provide precautionary measures if necessary. This paper calculates the flicker values of different artificial light sources using Matlab R2011a after acquiring the video from a user over cloud and notifies the user about the potential risk he/she may possess due to exposure to such lighting condition.
