Abstract :
From the past until now, Muslims gave the Holy Quran a special care. Among the most important of these concerns is care to save it in the hearts. However, a lot of the Quran learners complain from forgetting it despite spending more time in repeating it. As a result, we find that most learners in Quranic schools often suffer from lack of quality in memorization. Thus, there is a need for innovative ways to help Quran memorizers to memorize the Quran, understand it and connect its topics. On the other hand, there were a lot of applications developed to serve the Quran and especially to memorize it. Every application comes with certain features to facilitate the memorization process such as reading, listening, etc. However, these applications are still limited and focused on the direct use of technology without using more useful techniques in the domain. To contribute in the improvement of these efforts, we propose a Quran memorization application that utilizes visualization techniques to help in facilitating memorization. This paper will shed the light on the design and implementation of the application which aims to help Quran learners memorize Quran easily. It takes advantage of "Topical Interpretation" of the Quran, and mind mapping technique to connect verses with each other and with their topics then display them visually and orderly. By using this approach, all human senses are involved smoothly making it easier to link verses and remember them. It also will provide a pilot study on a set of students to measure the application effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.
