  • Abstract
Array jet dispensing technique plays an important role in micro assembly, especially for parts with different materials. An automatic array jet dispensing system was developed in this paper for micro inertial devices assembly. In order to have uniform original drop position of the adhesive array and easy monitoring, a machine vision module was integrated. The image processing and coordinate transformation were carried out to calibrate and compensate the system. The experimental results show that the position accuracy of the automatic array jet dispensing system was 10.7 μm, and minimum diameter of adhesive drops was 1.20 mm. A 8×8 array jet dispensing was obtained, the R-square for adhesive array was 0.953 while the standard deviation was 3.26%, which can meet the requirement of small inertial devices assembly. The dispensing properties on substrates of different material were also studied. All these research work provide the experimental basis for high precision micro jet dispersion technique.
