Abstract
Due to the high conversion efficiency and good frequency response, Giant Magnetostrictive Actuator (GMA) has been widely used in the machining field. A hysteresis model composed of the phase-lag transfer function and the linearity model is established to meet different working conditions of the GMA. Identifying the parameters in both section, a feed-forward control based on the direct inverse model and the phase compensation is conducted in the verification experiment. The results indicate that the output displacement of the GMA follows the input voltage with lower error in different frequency bands, meeting the demand for hysteresis control of GMA.
