  • Abstract
The paper proposed an optimization procedure to solve the problems of shock and instability in processing the asymmetric pin hole of high load piston. The shape of the asymmetric pin hole of high load piston was described in detail. The motion characteristic of the transition curve was studied. The types of shock in processing the asymmetric pin hole of high load piston were analyzed. Some transition curves that commonly used were compared in aspects of velocity, acceleration and acceleration rate. According to the requirement that velocity, acceleration and acceleration rate are zero in intersection of transition curve and circle, a type of transition curve was given, which could satisfy the condition of smooth and non-impact, especially at the starting point and the ending point. The processing data used for processing were generated in Matlab according to boring process. The processing result was analyzed; this result provides references for the boring of asymmetric pin hole.
