Abstract :
In this paper, we present a design of a multi core embedded system model of a self diagnostic system for industries developed over a Wireless Sensor Network. In this design, the system is segmented into multiple clusters, each representing a Wireless node, and controlled by a ´core´, which is an independent microcontroller based local system. To demonstrate our system, we have developed a design consisting of two clusters viz. ´critical´ and ´non-critical´ clusters each consisting of sensors with varying priorities in the fault diagnostic process. With this paper, we try to present the work done in the partial development of the said system. The paper outlines and details the development of the non critical cluster consisting of a single sensor which is RPM sensor, and its successful implementation as a fault diagnostic module.
