Abstract :
Hardware resources such as computing power, storage capacity is provided as service by service providers under term Infrastructure as a service. Resources are ordered by customers in form of leases. Every service provider always try to minimize number of rejected leases and time taken to search the required resources in his datacenter. Open nebula is popular open source virtual infrastructure manager used to build and manage an IaaS cloud. For managing leases, open nebula can make use of its own lease manager or it can be integrated with haizea, which is an open source lease manager. Haizea make use of a linear search algorithm to search resources required as per leases arrived to it. With this concept, we precede research work with a binary search based resource selection algorithm.
