Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present the development and testing of an autonomous robot for the sumo competitions. The robot aims is to find your opponent in the ring and force it out of the demarcated area while it should not go out on their own. To achieve task the robot was developed using infrared reflection sensors to determine the position of the opponent and its position in the ring. It also presents the logic used for the automation of the robot and the detailed movements in every possible situation during the competition. At the end is presented the results obtained in a competition and possible changes for future upgrades.
