Abstract :
This paper deals with a personal localization system that makes the user possible to localize her or himself in the world coordinate system. It employs 2-dimensional “landmark code” the author proposes. The landmark code is a self-localization tool using ISO/IEC 18004 known as QR code which has complete information for localization such as position, pose and size in the world coordinate system. While the original idea of the landmark code was proposed by the author in his previous works, updated version is newly introduced in this paper. In addition, the author develops a prototype system of personal localization by using an ordinary PC and a web camera. The author also makes some experiments to test its validity and basic performances.
