  • Abstract
A smart transduction system with PVTA compensation for sensing applications is presented; this system can be implemented to solve transduction issues. The smart system also includes calibration and sensitivity adjustment. Until now, a PVTA compensated system used for transduction or sensor applications has not been reported. To validate its performance, a primitive and smart transduction systems for pH sensing were implemented employing ISFETs. From the comparison of both systems, the PVTA variations were reduced by 74.56% for process, 86.43% for voltage, 88.47% for temperature and 55.20% for aging. The sensitivity of the proposed system can be adjusted from 23.792 mV/pH to 476.44 mV/pH. According to the results, the accuracy of the system is highly improved by providing smartness to the transduction, with the readout circuit.
