SaaS based Multi-tenant E-commerce to reduce cost and improve resource utilization

E-commerce is gaining popularity day by day. Key attractions causing increased adoption of E-commerce are high availability, ubiquitous, reduced cost & time and efficiency. In today´s changing world, technology is growing rapidly. One such growth can be cloud based solution for E-commerce. Software as a Service (SaaS) is one of the model of cloud computing. The proposed system is based on the Multi-tenant SaaS model which allows multiple vendors (tenants) to setup new stores instantly with the same code base. Also, the software, hardware and database are shared among all the stores which makes it easy for the owner to manage and scale them as and when required. The vendors need not spend hundreds of thousands for software development, customization, user training, hardware or software maintenance and networking infrastructure which is required to run the software. As cloud is adopted for E-commerce therefore proposed system is architected for resource provisioning which achieves high availability and reliability. An innovative pricing policy is introduced for further cost reduction. Proposed system is more useful for vendors having low budget. It charges some amount only when orders are received for their stores.
