Abstract :
Content Addressable Memory (CAM) is basically receives the data and search process has to be done to find the address. The search operation is done in parallel manner so that the power and the area consumption is more but the single clock cycle throughput makes it faster than other memory. Meanwhile the CAM comprises of sensing circuit and the priority encoder and the encoder utilizes less energy so that power gated ML sensing is used to distribute the power according to the usuage. In this paper the idea of gated power ML sensing is combined with that of the segmented ML sensing. The power consumption and the area can reduce to a specified value.
