Abstract :
In this paper, Chan-Lee (CL) sphere detection-based algorithm which combines with MIMO-OFDM system has been investigated. In Chan-Lee sphere detection, it is known as already `reduced-complexity´ by making the radius sufficiently large that make the size of search region increase. This will solve the problem of choosing an initial radius. In this paper, maximum likelihood detection has been used as the optimal sphere based detection for comparison with the Chan-Lee algorithm in term of performance and complexity. Results show that the performance of Chan-Lee algorithm is suboptimal with a remarkable complexity reduction.
