Abstract :
The paper presents an approach to the problem of simultaneous tracking and recognition of moving objects. The solution for movement detection and object tracking is based on well known digital image processing methods; nevertheless, the key is to conduct an appropriate procedure. In the aspect of objects recognition the approach is based on the template matching for irregular patterns with a parameter space defined by translation, rotation, and scaling operations. The elaborated method works directly on grey-level images. In order to guarantee the performance considered processes are supported by massively parallel computing with the CUDA technology.
