Abstract :
ZigBee is a revolutionary technique for wireless mutual communication. Based on it, we designed software and hardware of location system relating to underground personnel in this paper. The system is composed of gateway node, reference node and location node, and those three connected with upper monitor. It can transmit real-time location data from personnel to graphics monitor software, and achieve the function of real-time tracking for location node. Ranging algorithm based on RSSI is adopted as location algorithm. We can minimize location error smaller than 3 meters.
