Abstract :
We fabricate single electrospun polymer nanofibers consisting of poly(vinylcarbazole) (PVCz) doped with 4,4´-bis [(N-carbazole)styryl]biphenyl (BSB-Cz). The diameter of the fibers measured by scanning electron microscopy is approximately 300 nm. Waveguiding in a fiber is confirmed by comparing the photoluminescence intensities of the middle and end of a fiber. We confirm that the guided light is mainly emitted from BSB-Cz.
