Abstract :
In this paper, a split gate metal oxide field effect transistor (MOSFET) has been analyzed for the label free electrical detection of biomolecules. The detection of the biomolecules in both dry and watery environment is compared to each other. To investigate the effectiveness of the split gate device as a biosensor for both environments, TCAD sentaurus device simulator tool is used. The study reveals that the detection sensitivity in the dry environment is higher than that done in the watery environment.
