Abstract :
As power system infrastructure ages, it becomes increasingly crucial to understand asset health and to develop proactive maintenance strategies to extend equipment life and reduce the likelihood of system failure. For one Florida utility, a decision was made to develop an asset health system, as a commercially available solution proved too costly. With the help of a group of experienced engineers from a Thai utility, the Florida utility was able to begin development of a comprehensive asset health system. Due to the complexity of the system, the focus of this paper is strictly on transformers.
