Abstract :
This paper presented a method of electro deposition of calcium alginate for cell 3D Printing. Alginate gel (calcium alginate) was introduced as printing material by electro-depositing. An ITO glass was set as cathode and a metal needle was used as anode. A DC current was applied to the electrodes. The calcium alginate was generated on the surface of anode, which is immersed in mixed solution of sodium alginate and CaCO3. The thickness of gel, which is produced on the anode surface, increases along with enlargement of current. At last, we mixed cells in the sodium alginate solution (1%) with suspended CaCO3 particles (0.5%) to observe the growth situation of yeast cells and osteoblast. The experiment result shown the call will be alive in 3 days.
