Abstract
The registration function is frequently used in the application of Laser Tracker. However, many existing methods do not consider the error distribution characteristic of the laser tracker, resulting in a large error in registration. To solve this problem, combining with the existing iteration solution for rigid-body point-based registration, we present a new weighting algorithm which emphasizes higher weights to the locations and directions with higher accuracy to improve the measurement accuracy in laser tracker registration. Simulations show that the proposed algorithm performs better in accuracy than the singular value decomposition (SVD) solution for laser tracker registration.
