  • Abstract
    This paper researches the sound absorption performance of metal foam with double-layer structure. The sound absorption coefficients in different structures are measured by the transfer function method. Comparing with single-layer metal foam in the same thickness and air gaps, double-layer structure metal foam shows a significant improvement in sound absorbability. Multi-layer structure metal foam has remarkable effect in the sound absorption behavior, therefore, porous metal with suitable structural configuration can get the optimal sound absorption properties.
