Abstract :
In this report, we present a new type of optic design inspired by arthropods eye for advanced optoelectronic devices. Arthropods eye gives the inspiration for imaging systems that have an extremely wide field of view without abberations and nearly infinite depth-of-field. Biomimetic approach with this natural design accelerates progress in both basic science and practical applications.
