Abstract
In this paper our main focus is on developing a new variational model for restoration of images contaminated with multiplicative noise. For this purpose a model based on integer order total variation (IOTV) norm combined with the fractional order total variation (FOTV) norm is proposed and introduced a new modified fidelity term. It associated with the minimization of a certain energy subject to a fitting term derived from a maximum a posteriori (MAP). Explicit time marching scheme is applied to the minimizer of new proposed energy functional. In this work, parameter dependence is also discussed. Experimental results illustrate advantages of our proposed model in visual improvement as well as an increase in the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) over related PDE based methods.
