Abstract :
Due to the characteristic that memristance remaining unchanged when a low voltage is applied, an new improved model of memristor is proposed in this paper. Then, the influence on the memristance caused by programming operation with square-wave pulse is analysed. Furthermore, the cutoff frequency of the filter influenced by the change of the memristance is also discussed. Afterwards, the designed schematic diagram of the filter is simulated by SPICE, which verifies that the cutoff frequency can be continuously changed by controlling the duration of the programming voltage applied to the memristor. The filter based on memristors demonstrates the advantages in the power dissipation and lower timing requirements, which is very helpful in analog circuit applications of memristor.
