Abstract :
We propose a many-to-many bulk data dissemination system for DTN-MANET. Our data dissemination mechanism is based on Delay-tolerant networking´s store-carry-and-forward technique, Multi-point relay flooding and reliable retransmission. Network coding (NC) is applied to reduce the amount of network traffic on relaying nodes. By using network topology information and received packets information, the minimum number of NC packets that allows all receivers to be able to decode can be estimated. We built a prototype system and conducted experiments on our testbed to evaluate its performance. In terms of bandwidth requirements, our results show that NC can improve the bulk file dissemination over conventional protocol like FTP.
