Abstract :
One of the major challenges that the biometric detection system facing is how to distinguish between monozygotic or identical twins. However, the number of multiple births has been increasing over the past two decades. It cannot be identified based on DNA. So the lack of proper identification system will lead to many criminal cases. This paper is focused on different biometric identification technologies based on the features of face, fingerprint, palm print, iris, retina and voice for the verification of identical twins. By analyzing can realize that face detection based on facial mark is the most efficient one for the identification of identical twins. Automatic facial mark detector known as fast radial symmetry transform will help with the proper identification of different facial marks because the manual annotation of facial marks does not provide proper results. The other features (finger print, palm print, iris, and retina, etc.) are not unique for identical twins.
