Abstract
This paper presents a new algorithmic aspect and multi-agent control framework that make buildings more intelligent, resource efficient and comfortable for occupants. The proposed framework provides multifaceted approach that can sustain a high level of occupant comfort while achieving significant energy savings with easy-to-use functionalities. It provides energy-efficient automation functions, maximum comfort for the occupant and energy saving at the same time, in accordance with the energy efficiency requirements of Singapore BCA Green Mark. Indeed, the relevant building functions, such as lighting, ventilation and air conditioning can be optimally coordinated and adjusted to achieve high level of occupant comfort and energy efficiency. Experimental results and comparisons with other approaches demonstrate the overall performance and potential benefits of the new framework.
