Abstract :
Computational verb cellular networks (CVCNs) are cellular networks, of which the local rules are computational verb rules. Many patterns had been found in CVCN previously. In this paper, newly-discovered one-, two-, three- and four-armed spiral waves in CVCNs are presented. Eight-armed spiral waves appear briefly co-existing with four-armed patterns at a low frequency. When initial states are uniformly randomly chosen from interval between 0 and 1, more than one spiral wave may be formed in a CVCN. The rotors of four-armed rotating spiral waves move slowly. All these spiral waves co-exist with checkerboard patterns, which are more visible when the array size is small.
