Abstract :
The article deals with a method for segmenting the articular condyle of the temporomandibular joint from magnetic resonance images. Temporomandibular condyle is segmented by the modified method of marker-controlled watershed. This method is improved by an algorithm for the creation of labels and boundaries of objects based on the analysis of image data. Creating a 3D model has been improved by an algorithm for oversampling the object in the z-axis by cubic spline.
