            Abstract :
Accessibility refers to products and services that allow people with disabilities to participate in the activities of life. I will talk about how technologies first intended for people with disabilities have later become mainstream. Examples include video chat, personal texting, personal GPS navigation, text to-speech, speech recognition, and optical character recognition (OCR). I will talk about emerging technologies for people with disabilities. Finally, I will talk about the importance of having people with disabilities in the diverse technology creation workforce.
