Abstract :
In this paper, the different existing propagation mechanisms in integrated circuit substrates are characterized and analytical models are provided for interference prediction purposes. The different propagation modes are described, identifying the ones dominating for each technology option. A study of the validity range of the proposed model in terms of frequency and substrate physical parameters is also provided.
