Abstract :
In this paper, a Low earth orbit (LEO) satellite is tracked using cubature quadrature Kalman filter (CQKF), which is a generalized form of cubature Kalman filter (CKF). In CQKF, the third degree spherical cubature rule is incorporated with arbitrary order Gauss-Laguerre quadrature rule. Using these two rules, intractable integrals appeared while solving the nonlinear filtering problem are approximated. The tracking accuracy of CQKF for this problem is compared with CKF and UKF. The simulation results are provided which show that the accuracy is better for CQKF compared to the UKF and CKF.
