Abstract
Virtual reality-based simulators can improve traditional training processes in health adding practice of procedures in realistic and safe environments. Besides some simulators present a skill assessment tool coupled to them, the absence of metrics based on protocols from health associations is still a limitation for the acceptance of the simulators in certification processes. Particularly, it is observed the necessity of knowing the traditional assessment processes as well as identifying the variability accepted in it. The present work presents a methodology for identification of metrics to be used in virtual reality simulators with an example of application for an injection of drugs training simulator.
