Abstract
The ability of auditory attention can be described as filtering distinct sounds to identify relevant information in environments where multiple sound sources are active simultaneously. There are some techniques to detect and training this ability, but usually their use can be subjective and exhaustive to the patient. This paper presents the development and evaluation of the Whisperluck game, a serious game using virtual reality capable of detecting the response time and training the player´s auditory attention. The game was evaluated by adults and a high approval rate was obtained, indicating that it can be used as a playful tool for aiding diagnosis as well as in the training of adults in the auditory attention context.
